The ProSecurea STM600 Web and Email Threat Management Appliance from NetgearA is an integrated gateway security appliance that protects the inbound/outbound web and email traffic for networks up to 600 concurrent users. The STM600 uses Stream Scanning architecture to deliver ideal business security. The STM600 employs a combination of 3 million+ malware signatures to protect against known threats and behavioral zero-hour protection technology to discover and block any suspected threats that have not yet been identified. Also, the ProSecure Hybrid in-the-cloud Distributed Web Analysis architecture prevents user access to unwanted Web sites and the Distributed Spam Analysis architecture shields networks from spam, phishing attacks, and other Email-borne threats. Plus, its application control feature allows businesses to enforce company network usage policies and preserve productivity by blocking access to public instant messaging and peer-to-peer applications. Moreover, the STM600 has application control which blocks unwanted IM, P2P, Toolbar, and Media Applications.The STM600 also provides an automatic hourly signature updates and deploys In-line as a Transparent Bridge in which no network reconfiguration is needed.
